Fir trees point upwards, silly
Dear videogames people,
The reason your fir trees look weird is that branches on fir trees don’t point downwards, you only think they do. They point upwards, without exception.
Exhibit A: The otherwise excellent Halo 3 assault/CTF/shotty snipers map, Valhalla. Witness the mutated fir trees in the right middle ground, and background. Presumably the result of some Banshee plasma leak, or something:
